The free NZ Accounts app presents illustrative annual financial statements of a fictitious New Zealand group, NZ IFRS RDR Limited and its subsidiaries. It presents the financial reporting disclosure requirements that would apply to such a group under New Zealand equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards (NZ IFRS) in force on 31 December 2013. It also identifies disclosure concessions and additional clarifications for entities that are eligible and elect to report under NZ IFRS – Reduced Disclosure Regime (NZ IFRS RDR).
The app contains the relevant accounting standards that New Zealand entities will rely on in order to prepare their annual financial statements. It is a highly interactive "one stop shop" for accountants, auditors and other members of the financial reporting chain, and is intended to be used as an interactive reference tool.
Features of the app include:
Direct links to NZ IFRS Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounting standards.
A sophisticated navigation and search function to help accountants and others pinpoint exactly the information and guidance they need to prepare their financial statements.
The ability to annotate all documents within the app including inserting text, a sticky note or free-drawing to record individual comments and mark ups.
The NZ Accounts app is intended to provide users with a modern and interactive digital financial reporting experience that helps them meet their accounting obligations in an easy and time efficient way.
